My name is Stuart Mayberry and I am a journalism student at the University of Oregon. I like to listen to a lot of music, so the concept of doing a project related to music made perfect sense.
Following this project, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this blog grow into something that goes beyond the stated musical genre. Besides, music is influenced by music, and despite the arguments that Seattle was “isolated” until 1991, the city did have external influences (Heck, even Eddie Vedder wasn’t originally from Seattle).
I think I’ve strayed a little from the point here, but the information is still relevant, I guess.
